Hello and welcome to Adam Pickup-Bowker Photography.

Firstly I'd like to thank you for taking the time out to view my website and I truly hope you loved my imagery as much as I did experiencing those few moments.

In this blog I endeavour to share with you some of my most special moments from around the Cornish country side that will include wildlife, landscapes and some spectacular weather photos that I will haven taken during that week. From time to time I will also post up special discount codes for you to use in the shop and services section of my site. I will be updating this blog on a weekly basis on a Tuesday.

This week I've been doing a lot of drone work, I still find it ironic that something as small as a drone could make me fall deeper in love with photography, even though my camera and lenses are significantly better than my Phantom. There is something about being in the air, free, the third dimension of height is simply beautiful. Cornwall and its picturesque roads that wind their way though the vast amounts of fields obscure the view of this simply stunning landscape that I'm incredibly lucky to live in, from above that obstruction becomes an obsession, an obsession to capture each hedgerow or field boundary as they seemingly merge with the brilliant blue of the ocean.

Experiencing the sunrise over the foggy skies of Cornwall was a surreal experience. I'd been wanting to get this type of shot for a while and every time I tried I found my flight path blocked by either no line of sight or the fog was so thick I'd have gone above the height restrictions of the CAA. Finally on this morning there was a gap in the skies, although the flight time was very short this little capture made my day. I find it incredible to think on murky, cold and wet days, moments of pure bliss sill exist above us, a metaphor for life perhaps?
